Zuo Bo Official Blog Closes After Four Years Online

The Official Blog of Zuo Bo will go offline after four years. First of all a little about how the name came along. I’ve just thought the name “bzhuo” (zhuo bo) in Chinese ping yin romanization is actually the Chinese reading of my Japanese name, 佐波 read in Japanese as Sanami. Living in China the Chinese reading is beginning to seem to sound better than the Japanese reading at times.
I first heard the Chinese reading form a former student of mine a Vietnamese-Chinese who was at the time living in Edmonton, Canada. I haven’t really used the name much until I went to Mainland China for the first time in October 2003. From then on I started using it more than my Japanese name and even my English name! The Chinese culture seems to have made a new impression on me.

I started this new blog mostly because I needed a place to post content that is non-relevant to my website: Project H2O but over the years became my daily diary and notebook. This blog has now been split up with language and linguistics at the Iroha Project and my work pottery and sustainable development at Project H2O.
