Japanese responses to university survey

Japanese responses to university survey

I was having a read through some of the answers to a student survey about APU and it is amazing to see the differences between the Japanese answers and the English answers assuming that most of the Japanese answers were coming from Japanese students. Here is a sample of the responses.

Japanese responses:
1. Tuition needs to be cheaper
2. There needs to be a student union
3. Make things clear
4. Increase quality of Japanese students
5. Make Domestic and International students equal
6. Except for the Career Office, staff support is a disaster and needs improvement or work hours need to be increased.
7.English lectures by Japanese professors need to be revised.

It was very interesting to see that among all the comments in English only one was negative.
1. “Hire better teachers for APM”

When students were asked what APU should do to celebrate the tenth anniversary most replied suggesting some kind of festival involving all the students and community of Beppu fewer comments suggested not having a celebration and “giving away more scholarships to needy students”.
