論より証拠:

物事はあれこれ論じたり、議論したりするよりは、何か証拠を示したほうが早く解決するということ。

It is better to show the proof than to continue to discuss  the matter in order to solve the problem quickly.

論語読みの論語知らず：

論語を読んだが内容を理解していない人。転じて、知ったような顔をしているが、物事の本質を理解していない

A person who has read it but doesn’t understand it. A person who pretends to know it but really doesn’t understand it.
