Third week of rain
The third week of rain and still counting. Is it time yet to build the boat? I once heard of a book titled “Japan Sinks” a partly science fiction novel about the great earthquake that sinks Japan. Considering Japan’s size I hardly doubt it possible, on the other hand for Taiwan’s small size I wonder – perhaps politically – Taiwan could find itself in a similar situation shortly. I picked up a few books today on Chinese and Japanese linguistics and word origins. I have been looking for a book about new Chinese words but everything up until recently has been written in Chinese, this book written in Japanese will be an interesting read for the rainy days to continue.
